A huge heartfelt thanks from all of us here at Raíces to Magnolia Street String Band for their amazing performance Saturday, August 11 at the Reformed Church of Highland Park!

Magnolia Street String Band gave an overview of the history and evolution of American bluegrass music. Attendees learned about bluegrass icons, instruments, and changes in how it was played and performed. Thank you Magnolia Street String Band for sharing your songs and knowledge with our community in Highland Park, NJ.

Be sure to check out the photos below and learn more about attending other upcoming concerts in the Raíces Roots Music Concert Series as we seek to bridge cultures through the universal language of music.

Additional funds for some of the concerts in this series have been provided by the Borough of Highland Park’s Park Partners Grant Program 2018 in the category of culture and diversity.
