 CULTURAL EXCHANGE TRIPSIn addition to offering cultural programming within New Jersey and the surrounding communities, Raíces Cultural Center organizes cultural exchange trips abroad, for those wishing to explore the cultures of the places where these traditions were born. Raíces is currently planning a trip to Puerto Rico for those interested in the study and research of the cultural traditions, history and evolution of bomba, plena and los vejigantes on the island. Participants on this trip will spend a week immersed in the folkloric cultural traditions of Puerto Rico, attending workshops, performances, cultural events, museums and more. Ensemble members will also travel to perform as part of the Exchange program.
